Obituary for Ronnie W. Smith
RONALD “RONNIE” W. SMITH, 79, passed away at the Bailey Center in St. Augustine on Saturday, February 20, 2021 after an extended illness.
Ronnie was born in New York City, New York and worked as a truck driver for Crystal Chemical Company of Long Island, New York for over 30 years. He was a music buff; he loved to travel and he liked watching old movies. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Crescent City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ruth Smith.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Christopher Smith of New York City, New York; daughters, Latrice Smith of New York City, New York; Jazzmin Smith of Marietta, Georgia and Tiffany Smith of Port Orange; three brothers, Leonard R. Smith, Howard Christopher Smith and Ralph Victor Smith all of Crescent City; a sister, Joan Smith of Deland; Grandchildren, Ronald Corey Smith, Chanel Smith, Reniqua Smith, Kirk Smith, Neva Smith, Victor Smith and Allani Monrose and two Great-Grandchildren.
The family wishes to keep Mr. Smith’s prayer service private because of COVID 19. His ashes will be buried at a later date is St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
