Obituary for Peggy Walker

EVA M. “PEGGY” WALKER, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Vitas Suites at Carlton Shores in Daytona Beach after an extended illness.
“Miss Peggy” as she was affectionately known, was a Florida native, she was born in Seville and lived in the Seville and Crescent City areas all of her life with the exception of her honorable tour of duty with the Air Force during the Korean War. She was a Mother first of all, but she worked for many years as a teacher’s aide at Middleton Burney Elementary School and at Miller Intermediate School in Crescent City. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and NASCAR.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene of 46 years; daughter, Lolly Thayer; grandson, John Jacob Curry; two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Allen (Julie) Walker of Dublin, Georgia; Karen (Gary) Walker of Flagler Beach; a brother, Wilton James “Pee Wee” Rossie of Crescent City; Grandchildren, Genea (Matthew) Schaub, Necca Dennis and Megan Thayer; Great Grandchildren, Owen Curry, Blake Schaub, Brie Schaub, Aurora Dennis, Ava Dennis, Anna Dennis and Alexandra Dennis.
Her family will receive friends and family at Word of Faith Bible Church for visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Howard Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Cemetery, south of Seville, Florida.
