Obituary for Westley Marlin Robinson Sr.
Westley Marlin Robinson, Sr., 78, of San Mateo, passed from this life on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center South following an extended illness. Born in St. Augustine, he lived in San Mateo since 2017 coming from Hilliard, FL. Westley had worked many years as a heavy equipment operator with several companies including Jax Utilities, Hubbard Construction, Jensen Construction and Mac Asphalt. In his leisure time, Westley enjoyed fishing and dancing.
Westley was preceded in death by his parents, Trinnie Robinson and Mary Jo Robinson Hill, a son, James Robinson, a daughter, Carolyn Robinson, 5 siblings, Rose Mary Vaughn, Clennon Robinson, Eldon “Buddy” Robinson, Ruth Ann Crews and Barbara Shedd and a half-brother, Roy Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lillian Bouchard of Suwannee, his children, Westley M. Robinson, Jr. (Nancy) of San Mateo, Aspasia Gatchell of Ocala, Thomas Robinson of Palm Springs, CA and Suzette Edenfield of Union, SC, 2 sisters, Alene Turner (Pete) of Starke and Mona Raulerson of St. Augustine, half-siblings, Georgie Hill of St. Augustine and Vaughn Hill of Stuart, 10 grandchildren, Richie Gatchell, Hunter Gatchell, Westley M. Robinson, III, Russell Robinson, Rhea Robinson, Jake Robinson, Kelly Jacobs and Austin Jacobs, Yvonne Stozer and Kevin Stinson and expecting a great-grandchild soon.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Terry Wright officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service.
